Order of Worship

Advent paramentsThe Service for the Lord’s Day is the name given to the general format or ordering of worship in the Presbyterian Church (USA) as outlined in its Constitution’s Book of Order. There is a great deal of liberty given, so while the underlying order and components for the Service for the Lord’s Day is extremely common, it varies from week to week, season to season.  We also follow the liturgical calendar, observing the seasons of Advent, Christmastide, Epiphany, Lent, Eastertide and Pentecost.
